(A)Compressed Non-asbestos Gasket Material
Asbestos-free roller materials are mainly composed of synthetic fibers (such as aramid fibers), nitrile rubber, and various additives. Its structure is dense, in the roller pressing process, rubber as a bond and seals the main body, the fiber is uniformly dispersed in the rubber matrix, like aramid fibers can provide high strength for the material, similar to the skeleton to enhance the overall mechanical properties.
Performance Characteristics of Compressed Non-asbestos Gasket Material
Physical properties: relatively high density, good compressive strength, under high-pressure sealing environment (such as hydraulic systems) in the performance. Flexibility is poor, but within a certain scope of elastic recovery, the ability is good and can meet the dynamic sealing of rotating shafts and other sealing needs under the slight vibration of the seal.
Chemical performance: compressed nonasbestos gasket material's chemical resistance depends on the rubber and fiber chemical properties, as nitrile rubber-based materials are resistant to oil and organic solvents, and materials containing aramid fiber resistance to acid and alkali corrosion ability is stronger.
(B) Non-asbestos Addition Gasket Materials
The main components are inorganic fibers (such as glass fibers, ceramic fibers, etc.) and organic binders (such as latex, etc.). Through the copying process, the inorganic fibers are interwoven into a mesh structure, and the organic binder binds the fibers. Parameters such as the length and diameter of the glass fibers affect the seal gasket material properties. Longer and thicker fibers increase strength but may reduce flexibility.
Performance Characteristics of Non-asbestos Addition Gasket Materials
Physical properties, low density, fiber interwoven structure has more voids. Tensile strength in the direction of the fiber performance is better, compressive strength is not as good as the roller material, but in the high flexibility requirements, low pressure requirements of the bendable pipe sealing and other occasions applicable. Flexibility is excellent, can adapt to the complex shape of the sealing parts, external deformation can be restored to a certain extent after the shape.
Chemical properties, different binders and fibers composed of materials with different chemical resistance, glass fibers and latex binders composed of materials in the general acidic and alkaline environment with resistance, strong acid and alkali or specific solvents may make the binder failure or fiber damage, and ceramic fiber copying materials in high temperature and chemical corrosion environment with good stability. Glass fiber coping materials can withstand temperatures up to about 300 ℃, ceramic fiber coping materials can be used for more than 1000 ℃ high-temperature insulation and sealing.
